Greg,

I feel for you. I remember the same stuff from a few out of towners in Key West years ago. I have had the sheriffs remove a few from Anne's Beach up here and it will happen again I'm sure. It's pretty crappy that when these riders are in their home spot, they bitch and moan about the visitors that are ruining their spot and possibly getting it banned and then go on vacation and do the same at other spots.

Good luck and stay safe!!!!!!!

I understand Noel is helping out some deputies with kiteboarding instruction. I think the Kitehouse has done similar things over the years. Building good relationships with local authorities and better getting some involved in kiting can be very valuable in trying to maintain access. If the authorities will intercede without a lot of fuss, do the minimum necessary to avoid problems and allow things to get back to normal that is ideal. We need to work to keep things sane on our own at the launch routinely. Not everyone is receptive to common sense or courtesy unfortunately. It is good to get a helping hand from authorities the rare times when that happens. Lost access serves no one, not even the people who might be causing it!
