Handlepasses do not require strength... uh yeah right!
|
Yeah. No doubt. Bill is very strong, pound per pound.
I saw a video of some FSU guys training. I will try to find it. You may not have to be absolutely powerful, but relative to body weight, you better be. Too hard for me, at the moment. :???: |

That guy in the grey shirt is in for a nasty surprise... he always grabs the bar backwards during the pass.
The other guy has it right. I've almost got dangles on the tree (without swinging or jumping)... I need to shed some more weight and keep working on them (and allow time for the shoulders to recover). |
They looked the same to me. What am I missing?
I tried that once today, it ain't happening until I get stronger. |
Strength AND youth. Why arent there any 40-something Olympic Gymnasts? maybe its becouse they have all shredded their shoulders......rotator cuffs just dont repair like when you are in your twentys. Im staying with perfecting my danglin' and surfing. Maybe someday they will legalize stem cell research and i can get my shoulders rebuilt at Walmart.....untill then ill stick to dumpster diving behind local abortion clinics (dont ask....tip: get em' fresh;))

Philthy, you are wigging me out with the fetus dumpster diving.
Yeah, I don't think it is going to be easy (if even possible). Ballistic power isn't something that increases with age. |
F@#$ old! We aren't getting any younger. It's now or never fellas.

Did the forum just get fluid blocks?
I think it did. I also noticed it has a rating button. I rated this thread "horrible" lol.... Tom, does that show up on your screen? or is it a way for an individual to "flag" threads? |
I rated you as horrible old man! Your triple s-bends don't phase me punk.
How do you like me now! |
yeah, they do..
trees help the best, i've got one in my backyard set up.. i can do every handlepass on it. without it theres no way i would have learned slims. and landed it second try. that handle pass really doesn't require much strength, when you pass it there is no feel to the bar, you fall into it. EDIT: thoes usf kids in the video are doing them how i first learned my front mobes, they arn't getting the rest of the front or backroll in and you can see the bar they have to flip it around when they land.. on mobes you pull yourself around instead of falling into it like that. i did it too my first times on the bar, and in the water. what helps me is i have the bar low enough so i can kick myself up and around like i'm poping off the water. |
I guess I will keep trying. Thanks for the info, Josh.
