If the wind is truly north at the beach, then northern Palm Beach county to Jupiter to Ft. Pierce would be the cleanest areas free of wind shadow in mainland SE Florida. I say truly north wind at the beach because sometimes the wind is bent side shore at the beach despite the prevailing north or side off condition further inland. Hope you get some good rides in.

A few of us are doing a 20-30 mile down-winder on friday and/or saturday. Looks really good for both days. Back-country riding at its best.

Looking like the north prediction is holding for the SE

Friday...North winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet near shore and up to 7 to 9 feet in the gulf stream. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of showers.

Friday Night...North winds 20 to 25 knots becoming 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet near shore and up to 8 to 10 feet in the gulf stream. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of showers.

If it is a true north that will make riding south of central Palm Beach excepting Biscayne Bay and parts of the Keys difficult to not on. In the areas south a boat can be a big help is using this wind direction in many cases. North of Central Palm Beach it should be side on with big waves to go with.

As usual it looks to be a bit stronger at points in the Keys from the forecast and seems to extend far up the east coast. Should be fun, rig right and ride within your abilities.

Looks like the winds arrived in Jupiter around noon. ikitesurf says winds are around 20 mph gusting to 25 mph out of the north. Anyone grabbing some water time?

Swells don't look too intense yet just south of Jupiter Inlet, yet.

NOAA sswitched to a NE direction fo Friday Saturday. 15-20 knots. I think a little stronger on Saturday (for Miami/Keys anyway)
