lost crossbow bar at whale harbor, islamorada
I lost a Cabrinha Crossbow bar at Whale Harbor Marina, Islamorada on Sunday afternoon (5/27/07). If it doesn't turn up, I would be interested in anyones used or demoed bar. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the loss :(
I am moving to Islamorada and Whale Harbor will be my main launch. Can you (or anyone) give me any info on it? I know it is supposed to be a tight launch area and the sand bar is slightly upwind, but that's it. Any other info would be greatly appreciated :) |
whale harbor and islamorada
whale harbor is a little tight on the launch...you need to move out into the water to launch the kite (there is a very, very small beach area) with the normal NE,E winds. Other than that, it is great riding and easy to get to the sandbar if you are able to ride upwind. There is a 10.00 fee/waiver to use the area for the day and I think you can get a season pass.

The launches here are unlimited, if you have a boat or atleast a kayak. There is a steadly growing # of kiters here. I live down in marathon but if you have any ?s' just pm me.
