Two-liner Kites for SUP
What's up with that :) ?
Looks like good ol' days are back. http://www.kingofwatersports.com/f-o...ce-i13378.html http://www.extremekites.com.au/forum...55&view=unread |
interesting
It would be interesting to see more on the kite and design. Don't see why a regular kite wouldn't be the same. Unless relaunch in light wind is better.....Teaching SUP kiting would be easy considering they would already be standing! ;)

Not as easy as you would think. The board weighs so much that it is difficult to move it around fast enough to get it in the right position before the kite pulls you off of it. That's why smaller kite is the ticket.

Fone has launched a website about this new kite for SUP
http://source.f-onekites.com/ I think it is a good idea: - Good if the wind is too strong to do SUP in the waves - Good to ride if the wind is too low to do kiteboard - Good to learn kiteboard, maybe easier for beginners than with a twintip ? |
2-Liners?
Reminds me of the days flying my 2-line Wipi-Kill which was only 11m but took me on some scary downwind high speed runs. A 17m 2-liner would be suicide if you are hooked in (note that F-One did not have a QR on the loop) and the wind picks up.

Sorry. I think this is just a dumb idea in every way, shape, and form. As far as teaching beginners.....well I think just about as silly as it gets. No disrespect.
An idea from F-One that is just F'n-Dumb!!! What's next.....kites for bicycles??? |
