bring your full wet suit..

If you are going this time of the year ( June-Sept ) and can schedule a extra day or two then it would be worthwhile to rent a car and go south 4 hours to the Gorge where all you'll need to bring is a 9 m and a small board.
I don't think the sound itself gets much wind this time of year, at least not when I've been there in July-Aug. You can try here http://www.seattlekitesurfing.org/fo...wforum.php?f=1 But I think everybody in seattle goes south for the summer as well |

Anyways, I rather envy even their wind forecast now
http://nwwind.net/regionfcst.php?fcst=70 http://nwwind.net/wind.php?region=6 Or Maybe go North instead Danny http://www.seattlekitesurfing.org/fo...pic.php?t=7042 North sound is cranking http://nwwind.net/wind.php?region=1&sdate=2007-07-11  |
I removed that post. Trying to stay positive. Sorry for leaving you dangling with a disappearing post.

Danny.. I 100% agree w/ Raul... you can drive to Gorge in a matter of a few hours..
Portland is a beautiful town.. lots of stuff to do when the winds settle. Head to Powell's bookstore.. one of the largest book stores in the nation.. amazing place to hang out.. |
