Click on the Map Link below to study the course. Half of the 5 mile race will be through the narrow coral canyons of the Gables Waterway. This will provide a fast, flat water course through the historic bridges of Coral Gables. The funds raised from this event will go toward their restoration.

The second half of the course is across Biscayne Bay toward the finish at Shake a Leg in the Coconut Grove Marina.

The Gables to the Bay Regatta is a scenic and challenging low impact paddle race through the waterways of Coral Gables through Biscayne Bay with a grand finish in Coconut Grove. At the finish we’ll have a fun family celebration with our official band, Live Bait. The Regatta will include divisions for canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fun and a Shake-A-Leg division. Prizes will be awarded to some race classes! The event is a fundraiser to help with the Waterway Renaissance project intended to beautify, clean, protect and enjoy our special waterways and protect our aquatic friends. Waterway Renaissance, in conjunction with the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s “Parknership” program, is a group of residents focused on our area’s unique eco-systems and parks.

Understand from Garry they're planning on bringing twenty JL demo race boards to the event! Wind looks good, light and from the west. Should be a blast.
