SUP demos? or pay to play?

I'm interested in getting an SUP, but I'd like to try out a few different boards and paddles before I make the investment. Anywhere around Deerfield that I can demo an SUP? Or can I try out someone's board? I don't want to pay $60 for a lesson, but I would pay a stranger (within reason) to use their board for a quick session. Any concerns about me being shady, I could leave a security deposit so you know I wont paddle off into the sunset with your board.

Neil does rentals on Ft. Lauderdale beach and I'm sure the guys at liquid surf and sail in Ft. Lauderdale can hook you up with a demo too.

It is further north, but you can rent at a couple locations in Jupiter.

Also, Delray Watersports may rent in Delray.

SUP demo's, etc.

Peanut,

Adventure Sports Miami has SUP night every 1st and 3rd thursday in Coconut Grove. We have demos from Naish, Jimmy Lewis, NSP, Walden, and more. Just bring your shorts and it's free.

We also have a cool SUP party tomorrow night at the new shop in the Grove. This is a pre-race sign up party for the Gables to the Bay race. Stop by to check it out if you can.

I'd recommend hitting some of the free lessons put on by local shops. They bring a bunch of different boards that you can try out for free. For example:

In Deerfield (Saturdays at 7:00 a.m.): Island Water Sports

In Pompano (Sundays at 8:30 a.m.): Surf World

In Fort Lauderdale (Demo Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.): Pure Surf Life
