onshore winds

If any one is coming to Key West today We have 25 to 30 mph winds coming out of the South ,so it should be a good day, just watch out for squalls, double check your equipment and ride away from the beach as the wind is directly onshore. If you cannot stay up wind or are a beginner my advice to you would be to just sit back and watch.

Have fun

North winds?

Are there any good spots for North winds?
I've been out a couple of times to the flats, but I don't have access to a boat so its really hit of miss if friends are heading out and can take me out there.
I don't mind driving up from Key West, but would prefer to not have to go too far since I want to be able to go there after work during the week.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are one or two, but they are sketchy launches and one is on "private "property, so in order to protect our access to to them we don't advertise them on the forum, I see you are a local, but don,t recognise your screen name so give me a call and I will try and help you.
