Big Things Poppin' - A Day For the Kids
 

On Aug 5th the Childrens Home is going to have a beach day for the orphans in Ft. Desoto on North beach.

The day is going to be filled with paddleboarding, skimboarding, surfing, tubing, windsurfing, and much more. Last year's event was extremely successful and it touched the lives of over 70 kids - many of whom have never expericence the beach nor have ever had the opportunity to learn the water sports that we love and enjoy every day. All ready the Rockstars of our area have pledged their support such as Wild Bill Parker, Matt SexyTimes Sexton, Steve-O, Steve Saddler, Water Sports West, Shanners Meat Market, The Island Shop, and many more.

Mark your calendars for August 5th - the day will start at 11am and end at 4:30pm with a free BBQ and great times. We need your support - volunteer your time and/or bring watertoys for the kids to use such as: surfboards, skimboards, paddleboards, the like. when iz the pre party?

Pre-Party
 

I am going to throw a pre-party this Sunday the 2nd at my house in Seminole. Everyone is invited to attend to help out with event. BYOB and there will be a hot grill for any one to throw food on. Its going to start at 7:30pm - we'll talk about the event schedule, kitesurfing and watch some kitesurfing videos. Thanks, Mike Hall

Major props to the Hall family, all the local kiters who volunteered, and to the sponsors who helped made this event possible.
In short, it was well organized, flawlessly executed, and a totally wet and wild day for the kids.

The Day at the Beach went off without a hitch - a huge success! Some of the kids that came out last year had not been to the beach again since then. Major props to all my homies that came out and gave their time, and more importantly their hearts to the kids. Counselors and kids said that they were looking forward to this day all summer - to run, play, and swim at the beach together. This is the only opportunity they have to all share the beach at the same time from the orphanage. I can't thank you enough for helping me make this day possible. Much love. Mike Hall
