It was a great opportunity for new riders plus long timers to get together over some beers and snacks to kick around all things kiting, sup'ing, windsurfing, whatever as long as it is water fun.

They have been working on the layout of the shop and it looks great! Plus there is all that gear and expert assistance just sitting there seven days a week in Ft. Lauderdale.

Dave, the manager of the Adventure Sports water operations at Matheson Hammock fills us in on the custom setup training and free riding operation at the park. It is an ideal setting for training lacking so many of the things that slow down progress at most beaches. There is no deep water or waves or bystanders or trees, etc. in the training area. This can make the learning curve both shorter and safer.

Matheson Hammock, did someone say shallow, flat water conditions?

Well, you have to get to the beach to ride, correct? Why not tool down in one of these, I understand it can climb walls and catapult over the Intracoastal if you're in a hurry.

The real power at Adventure Sports Ft. Lauderdale, the Bacic Family. These are the very knowledgable, kind and super helpful folks that staff the store on a daily basis. Sergio along with this daughter Areta and son Andre can help you out or will find out in short order how to. They will take great care of you.
