Ouch is right. Here are a couple really wimpy ones for comparison.
They were thrown really late (right at apex) in about 20 knots.

These same ones in 25 to 30, if thrown earlier on the way up, can be vicious.
After seeing Danny get worked today and the fact my hip is still screwed - I passed on those kind today and just plain wimped out.
