"RRD-NISSAN Surfin' Venice
This is an event that aims to bring at least 100 SUP boards to paddle in the historic waters of the canals of Venice and it has the objective to become a fixed annual Meeting of the SUP movement in Italy and all around the world.
Try to imagine 100 SUP departing from Piazzale Tronchetto and paddling along the Grand Canal, accompanied by the crews of the Venetian rowing on historical boats, among a bustle of gondolas, boats and TAXI motor-boats of various kinds."

Robby Naish stopped by early for some photo ops and time in the canals.
Used to have a lot of human waste and industrial pollution in Venice Lagoon along with heavy metals, even dioxin in the sediments. Have things changed? Sure hope so.
