Fatality in Argentina
After 2 months since the loss of Emi, I feel the duty to inform this sad message to the kiteboarding community.
The 22nd of February 2007, a close friend of mine suffered a fatal kiteboarding accident in Punta Alta, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Unfortunately, I was not there to help him, but as my friends let me know Emi was finishing his -18 knots- kiteboarding session, cheerful after testing his new board, expecting to finaly lounch his kite, when a gust pushed him in the sand and drove him without control and domination till crashing the letal rocks.
Mournfully his head injure ended being fatal 4 hours later at the hospital.
Emi was a 19-years- old friend whose kindness, sympathy and humanity will be commited to memory by everyone who simply shared a smile or even a happy smile with him...
I hope this heartbreaking lesson pictured in this unfair accident may help others in the near future.
My condolences go out to his dad, mom, bro and to all of his friends.
I will eternally miss you...
