Gernerally, but not as of late we get alot of light wind. I usally teach people in light wind to do loops so you can get the timing and the feel, with out your brain and body saying i am not doing that again.

You can also use a smaller kite as well, go down a full size of normal. I would sugest un-hooked as some of the guys say fro just a hop off the water kite loop.

I really think the light wind helps or being very under powered, as then you can be agresssive, or do a back roll and pull the loop, and head towards the kite on landing, not away from it. Landing away creates alot more snap and tension.

As i said, requests to learn kite loops where way up this year, this is what we found was soloutionto let you climb the ladder to you really lite one up. Know what to expect i belive is better than smashand learn.
