Folks, we have our hands full trying to fix the mess at Hobie. We're going to do our level best to try, no promises or assurances either. It is a serious long term problem after all. If enough riders in the community come out in support of sensible, responsible riding practices and promote the same, we may have a slim chance, or not. Time will tell and if looks like we have a shot we're going to need a LOT of visible support from the kiting community of this initiative in coming weeks.

I understand west wind was on again yesterday and riding behaviors were a "train wreck" yet again at Hobie. How stupid can we be to keep creating this problem? Pretty dumb it seems, if you care about all the time in training, gear you purchased, moves you've developed and love of the sport then ENOUGH. Get it offshore and keep it there at Hobie and motivate other kiters to do the same.

Regardless, EFFECTIVE sustainable kiting practices WILL be needed to keep us flying at other spots. We've had our wake up call, time to get to it and support your privilege to ride by promoting responsible riding at your launches. Stay outside swim zones, stay away from bystanders while riding, avoid complaints, simple.
