If he hit the QR, no leash btw, he really did have good reactions. Thing is with a kite inverting in high winds the forces can be immense. I had one do it in 2005 that ripped a corner out of the kite and bent a solid carbon bar in less than 25 kts.!
It might have just as easily broken something below the bar? Does anyone know the specifics? I could search the Dutch forum with a translator to try to find out what happened but am buried with other stuff right now.
