Coming from 15- 20 knots, mostly 15 and having to ride
In 20+ and gusty must be freaky, conditions like that
It’s going to take a while to get use to. 5m kites, dang! we
can’t even teach here with that size and pulling handle passes, wow!
that have to be a sight to see. Metteo, you have to watch
these guys and learn a new trick so you can come here
and I can learn it from you ;-). The other day me and Mark
went out in 20 gusty up to 28, we set up his C bow 12m(go slow bend)
and took turns, Mark went out first and he had a blast
from the way he was riding it didn’t look that windy, but then
I went out, I got of some good airs and even better spills, but then the
wind picked up to over 30 and I tried to come in but couldn’t
stay up wind and was drafting away from Go slow bend, so I tried
pulling the safety and the line snapped in half and the Crossbow few
upside down for about 50- 100 yards before it fell into the water
Mark and another guy drove down to Goodmans bay to get the kite
that was a crazy day for real, from how the Crossbow was flying towards Goodmans
I was sure it was going to fly into the streets or golf course ;-). Metteo! You
was right about needing a 16 C bow and a 9m if I had a 9m I was
going to kool and to think I was contemplating to set up the 16m.
When do you get back into town, Metteo? and don’t forget take
some pics. Ride hard but safe, dude!!!
