My guess... 88 starters with 71 finishers...

Although that's my guess, I really want to bump this up for Neil so I'm pushing for OVER 100! We need to make this a record.

and, as you probably noticed Rick I left a large area out... I guess that Delray and surrounding should go into the Jup to Ft. Pierce. i don't know, maybe you can help my options out a bit. thanks.

We had just shy of 60 last year and about 60 to 70 % making the run to the end? I bet with proper buildup and a good forecast we might just beat Neil's target of 100. Still, it is going to take some talking and letting folks in on what an amazing experience this is going to be. So, for those that are planning on coming, try to roust some of the capable riders at your launch into joining to make this world record. Take a good look at Neil's waiver though, it can be a challenging run and in no way to be taken lightly.

As to number finishing? That's a tough one. I would think the higher the wind speed and bigger the waves the percentage making it all the way will be chipped away. If it is around 15 to 20 kts. I bet we could have a fairly high completion rate, say 70%??? Maybe even more.

How about it we hold off for another day of 30 mph winds and waves to 15 ft.? Naaa, that was a great pre-race though.
