Coming into town this weekend.
Hey, guys, my name is Linda. I live in Panama City, and I will be coming to Largo/Tampa this Friday evening. I will be staying through Tuesday. I frequently read your posts to find out where to go, but any info would be great. It is so windy here today!! I hope it's windy down there this weekend!! I have been able to wear my spring suit with a long sleeve rash guard, but that was last week when it was 75 degrees and the water temp in the mid 60's. Last night and this AM I had to wear my dry suit, as temps in the 40's and low 50's. What do you recommend I bring? Thanks for any info, and I can't wait to meet your crew!! See you soon, L

best place for the forecast is prob North Skyway..
the skyway bridge is a huge bridge at the south end of St. Petersburg. we ride on a very small beach at the north end .. its shallow and past the sandbar is tons of wide open sea chop.. its really a place for intermediate and up riders.. not for the newbies.. the beach is bookended by TONS of sharp rocks and trees/mangroves. if you are a good upwind rider.. you will be fine. to get there.. drive from the Sandpiper to 275 south.. should be a straight shot from where you are at.. ask for directions..take 275 south heading towards the skyway bridge.. pay the 1.00$ toll for the bridge but DO NOT cross the bridge.. 1 mile past the toll booth there will be an exit to the right for restrooms.. take that exit and at the stop sign turn left and go onto the service road.. the little beach will be just a few hundred yards down .. its a bumpy ride once you get off the road.. . let me know if you need more info.. see you there! |

actually its Dan's hoodie and I need to get one..
that thing makes all the difference in the world.. completely submerged in water, not one drop got into my neck line .. sweet! .. also my head stayed toasty warm all morning.. not to mention it gives me that "E-Bone" shaved head look that all the rage this season.. |
