Wind in the Keys
WindGuru has a pretty crappy forecast for the Miami area tomorrow, but the forecast for the Keys doesn't look so bad. Anyone know how its been down there? worth going down? have the forecasts been reliable lately? Otherside, seven sports, locals...tell me what ya think!

The forecast does look good for the upper and central Keys:
THURSDAY NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS BEYOND THE REEF 4 TO 6 FEET...EXCEPT HIGHER IN THE GULF STREAM. SEAS INSIDE THE REEF 2 TO 3 FEET. NEARSHORE WATERS CHOPPY. THURSDAY NIGHT NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS... DECREASING TO NEAR 15 KNOTS LATE. SEAS BEYOND THE REEF 4 TO 6 FEET. SEAS HIGHER IN THE GULF STREAM. SEAS INSIDE THE REEF 2 TO 3 FEET... SUBSIDING TO AROUND 2 FEET. NEARSHORE WATERS CHOPPY...BECOMING A MODERATE CHOP. http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=6733 Ikitesurf.com shows pretty good conditions for parts of the Keys from today, better further offshore as usual. I'll let the local guys tell how it was today, hopefully pretty good.

Thomas,
The wind has been better this year than last year and everything is shaping up for a great season. The last 2 days call was a little off, but rideable non the less. I find I-Kitesurf and NOAA to be the best help here. Yesterday at Anne's Beach, there were @ 10-15 kites in the air ranging from 9m-14m. I myself had my fun close to low tide with a skimboard.
