Some launches, Miami to Delray Beach
Quote:
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mfl/marine.php For radar imagery: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mfl/radar.php For realtime winds: http://www.ikitesurf.com/windandwher...icalAreaID=999 To see what fronts might be on the way: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/outlook_tab.php We are in the middle of a light weather pattern so we may or may not have wind on Monday or Tuesday. Once the stronger cold fronts start this should change. It is possible that thermal winds might come up in the afternoon which are rarely forecast. You just have to pay attention and hit the beach if the winds come up. You can checkout info about the designated Ft. Lauderdale launch for upwind riders, Tiki Beach at: http://fksa.org/viewtopic.php?t=2437 Pompano, a sign is posted with the launch rules here. http://fksa.org/viewtopic.php?p=884 Regarding Miami, there is Crandon Park which requires registration, certification and helmets. More about Miami and Hollywood spots at: http://fksa.org/viewtopic.php?t=518 Matheson Hammock is another option down there. It can be quite crowded however. They put a sign up with the rules for the launch there. Info about Boca Raton and Delray launches: http://fksa.org/viewtopic.php?t=457
