I am not sure how they determined the height. Still, it looks high! The kiter had two cameras, one on him and one on his kite. There was another camera catching the jump from a distance. Great editing of the visuals, turned the sound track off, personal choice. It may have the record for the highest jump without a board over water too. I understand he was on an 8 m kite. Smaller kites don't necessarily set you down that slowly if things screw up. He managed a light appearing landing without much of a splash looping in.
