not going to be much wind .. if any at all..for a bit now... hopefully by october things will be picking up..
skyway is a crappy place for a beginner.. so many hazzards ... especially the West side (backside) .. it can be a kite and kiters nightmare. when the winds pick up check this forum for where others are going.. for every wind direction there is typically a better place to ride than the skyway. cant wait to get back out on the water!! |

I rode for two hours today. Got some nice jumps in butter smoothe water. All alone and 15mph all to myself.

i am quite positive that a storm will hit the day I am supposed to fly out.
thats what happened last year when Dan and I already had our hotel booked in OBX and the tropical storm hit us. tho we did get some sick riding here and the storm didnt cause any damage.. win win situation i guess. |

Backside from 5:30 - 8pm.
Don't believe the sensors. I was on a small board jumping the over the beach where it sticks out at the south end. It was a blast, but it was only 4 inches deep! One other rider showed up at 7:00 or so, but I was ready to pack up by then. |
