Kent is talking about doing round trip races or what I call roundwinders. Here is a favorite downwinder down in the Keys. Last time though between lighter winds and a poor wind direction I think I must have covered about 38 miles. If I could make 500 ft. to the good upwind with each 1/2 mile tack I was doing well. If you do these be sure to add WIND!

I haven't heard from Travis in quite a long time , but , we've done this run before on a SW wind turning to WSW. Lori and I have also done the reverse course on a NNW. Just like Travis said, the most fun downwinder on the planet and any breakdowns we can just put our boat in off our house right along the course! I would be amped for any downwinder Kent can come up with in the Keys. He was talking about doing one a fews weeks back, but no wind. We would need a good east blow. Kent, have you come up with a good course yet? Maybe islamorada to bahia honda or key west?
