Exclamation HELP NEEDED!! All our kitegear got stolen! $500. REWARD!!!

Hello!

We really need your help!

My girlfriend and I are from Germany and came to Florida to go kitesurfing.
We started in Fort Lauderdale and drove
down to the keys but we never got on the water because in South Beach our rental car was broken into and our whole equipment
got stolen!

It was on Collins Ave. only a few feet from the hotel. We had taken out all the normal luggage, laptop, camera and so on but
we had left the two big bags of kitegear in the trunk. When I came down in the morning to put more money in the meter I saw that
the window was smashed and the bags were gone.

We lost all our stuff and nothing is insured! We even have to pay the damage on the car.

So it would be really nice if you could help us!

We think that was not done by kiteboarders so propably somebody will try to sell our stuff. That's were your help can make the difference!

If anybody tries to sell our gear to you or to anybody you know please let us know! And please pass this information around to all kiteboarders you know!

We would put out up to 500$ reward depending on if the people get cought and if we get things back.

Here is the detail information:

It happend in the night from the 1. to the 2. of October on Collins Ave. in South Beach Miami.

We had two big travel bags, one orange-grey-black and one just black.

In the bag with orange and grey were:

1 kite Best Waroo 13 in orange in a blue backpack
1 kite Best Bularoo 10 in red in a blue backpack
1 kite Best Bularoo 7 in purple in a silver backpack

1 Board Carved Popper XT in white
That board is handmade in Germany and should be VERY seldom in the U.S.
It even has a serial number on the back

1 harness (forgot the brand but can be used as a sit-on or without)
1 silver helmet
1 Core bar
and a lot of small items like pump, sunglasses, shoes and so on

In the black bag were:
1 kite F1 bandit3 7 white-blue
1 kite F1 bandit2 9 black-blue
1 board North x-ride white-blue-green
2 bars F1 (on the bar for the 9er kite is written with a pen "KBC")
1 harness Ion Nova girl size S
1 helmet bern in light blue

I attached some pictures I had of the stuff.

Please, please pass this along to other kiters so those really mean people can perhaps be found!

Thank you so much!

Greetings from Germany,

Chris

Default stolen gear

Hi Chris, it was good meeting you at the Key West Visitor center, I will keep a look out for your gear and let you know if I see any of it. Good luck.

I am very sorry this happened Chris, I hope you get your gear back. I ask all the folks out in the kiting community particularly in Miami-Dade
and Broward Counties to please keep an eye out for this gear, at local shops, on Ebay and Craig's list. Who knows they might even go
to some of the local launch areas with it.

It would be great if someone among us could help to reverse the wrong done to Chris and his girl friend here.

Also, if you have a kite school or store in southeast Florida and can help out Chris and his girlfriend with some loaner gear in the interim,
that would be outstanding!

So, look around and please help if you can.

Thank you!

Some more from kiteforum. The timing of the removal of the ad suggests this lead may be worth pursuing with Craig's List. I would guess they would like to discourage the sale of stolen merchandise through their site and may have a policy of helping to a degree.

No I don't. It was a photo of a board matching the description (colors) and with a 305 phone number. The board was specified to be a 133X39 2010 XRide. The photo appeared to have been taken with the board leaning up against a wall in a parking garage. Interesting setting for the photo, I thought.

I wish I had taken a screenshot.
