LATEST NEWS and officially sent by IKO to all their instrcutors and Members:
IKO is now offering insurance coverage worldwide for Individual riders, Private Instructors, and Kitesurfing school including USA/CANADA/UK. They just changed their underwritter to LLOYDS OF LONDON, which is the best guaranty for a solid, reliable coverage worldwide. It was the only company covering kitesurfing in the USA so far through First Flight. So from now on , if you buy your IKO insurance in the USA and plan on travelling , you know you are covered wherever you or somebody get injured . Priceless ! things are moving the right way . let's go shopping !

who is the underwriter for the states?
As most states have laws that say the insurance provider must write through that state or is not valid and can be contested, such as florida , Hawaii and cali for example. The only reason i ask, is that Loydds has had some flaws in the USA, i know this from experece. So it really depends on the under writer. Same thing goes when we just got insurance in Grand Cayman, couldnt use anything but from there, or as in USA can be contested.....better make sure you have a corp formed for the USA to protect , not llc |
