do you have to have a membership to kite at crandon park? or can you kite there or free?

Membership has been required to kite at Crandon for nine years. Miami Kiteboarding is running the concession there now, you need proof of certification, to register before riding, fly a streamer, etc.. They should post rules, procedures and fees for 2010 soon. Anytime someone feels like ignoring launch rules, riding in out of bounds areas, causing complaints ... they're saying in no uncertain terms they WANT this at their launch. Think about it.

We're real lucky to still be allowed to ride at Crandon regardless.
