Brazil on the Beach in Hollywood this weekend, starting Friday night. Big doings on Saturday with music, food, capoeria and in the evening Daniela Mercury.
http://brazilonthebeach.com/music_entertainment.html also if you've never seen it, the Brazilians are brilliant at playing vollyball, with their feet, head, shoulders but no hands! They are having a big championship in the day.

We checked out Brazil On The Beach in Hollywood in March. It was a well organized enjoyable event. Lots of images were captured there including the following series titled "Capoeira and Shadow." More images will be added over time ...
            Capoeiristas came from several academia or schools including http://www.capoeiramiami.com/ and http://www.miacapoeira.com/ among others. More to come ...

There was a capoeira demonstration at the Latin Festival on Hollywood Beach yesterday, caught some images of the action. The school performing was Miami Capoeira Sol E Lua, http://www.miamicapoeirasolelua.com/ led by Instructora India.
                ps - these are Canon G9 shots for once, left the DSLR at home this time.

Great action pictures! I recently got into Capoeira as I was looking for something to keep moving during the summer and love it! It's a great addition to kiteboarding.
There are many "rodas" in Miami. I choose Fight Club (www.fightclubmiami.com) as I felt it was pretty low key to start. You can try the first class for free.
