Default Seven Kiteboarding - Islamorada, Florida Keys

Seven Kiteboarding, est 1999, is one of the southeast's most popular places to learn how to kiteboard. Blessed with ideal conditions, miles of grass flats, sandbars and steady warm wind, it has become a destination for serious kiteboarders to learn and train.

Seven pioneered pwc-assisted lessons back in the day and continues to improve upon their thorough lesson syllabus. Seven has a team of professional kiteboarding instructors (all PASA certified, knowledgeable and friendly), a fleet of waverunners, a dozen boats, super air Nautique (for board skills) a 2500 sq ft retail warehouse and four waterfront locations.

Our current (12/15/09) instructor team: Bobby, Mike, Kevin, Mia, Kari, Ray and Brad - All PASA certified and insured through First Flight/Loyds of London - 2008/9

The lesson process begins with ground school!!!

Next we head to the water to learn to fly the kite and body drag.

Then it's time for the board!

The first ride is soooo exciting!!!

Friendly instructors + ideal conditions = sign up today!!!

If you are serious about learning how to kiteboard, you have come to the right place. We would be happy and honored to teach you to kite! Call for reservations - 305-853-KITE (5483) or find us on the water at Whale Harbor Marina.

June was great...more wind than normal...we did lessons every week. Lets see about July and August!! Remember, even though it's not our "windy" season, we are open all year long.

With all the summer buzz about kiting, we might begin our free clinics sooner...keep in touch.

Default Kiting in August

Well, hopefully August will go down as an important month in kiting as there were some pretty bad accidents and a fatality in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area during tropical storm Fay. Although there was some ridable wind from the storm, there were definately some "DO NOT RIDE" conditions throuout the state that all kiters, regardless of experience, should avoid.

As a new kiter, you MUST know when to go and more importantly when to NOT go out. There is a ton of information on this forum about weather prediction and safe kiting. Take advantage of it and take a certified lessons!

We will be offerring all kinds of lesson packages, camps and cliniques this year that range from FREE to inexpensive. Take advantage, get connected, and learn how to rip for the long haul.
