Default W A V E S ! ... squalls

They slipped in quietly on Monday, 4.16.07. Some shots of Boca going off with an offshore breeze and glassy swells moving in. If there are any squalls here they are lost well below the horizon, just clear air here. The heavy stuff shows up further down.

Hey Rick,

did you use a special camera to take the panorama or did you splice them together?

my guess is splice

That swell sure looks pretty

Thanks guys. Raul it was a hand panned series of photos stitched together on the computer. The first one that I did using this particular approach appears below. Been shooting digital panoramas for over ten years aside from that. It gives an interesting effect:

I had a couple other shots from the wave session that I wanted to put up but left them on the external hard drive at the office. Will toss them in on Monday. Hope you folks get some wind this weekend. We may have some in the SE, fingers crossed.

Thats what I figured

I put a few of those panorama shots together myself when in arizona tucson

Should be windy here today, already 23-28 kts NE. We're off to the skyway!

Put up your Az shots. Lucky with the wind, enjoy it! They just downgraded our forecast from calm changing to NE 10 to 15 in the afternoon. The 15 to 20 kts. originally predicted should start late.

I usually have to shrink my VR images by quite a lot so that they display properly on the Internet, say 500 k or less.

The best way to display images is not through the file attachment feature but is described at:

http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=268

Our wind came up without warning today, say 17 to 21 mph. It was a great surprise. More tomorrow by the forecast. Have fun out there.

this one is only 100Kb
the original is +5Mb
so quality is cr@p
But anyways its a lot we bought in the tucson mountains in 2002 about 3000' high, we sold it and moved back to FL. The Saguaro's really bloom nicely in the spring and there is tons of wind in Mex and CA but you have to drive for it
