Default Matanza on Saturday

Looking for some help here, I had trouble finding tide tables for Matanza so looked at ST augustine, it apears that the tide will be outgoing and ridable till 10:00am tomorrow and the wind looks favorable. I am planing on leaving gainesville at 6:00am so I can be there close to sunrise to ride. What do you guys think is my tide and wind timing right?

After the ride I will see swing by the shop Scott, I am almost ready to get a new board and plan to get it from your shop, reimbersment for alll the advice and help.

Biz,

The tides aren't looking so favorable this weekend in terms of the inlet cranking out.

Bad timing on the low and its not a new or full moon.
However, if it is good wind, it's hard to beat the downwinders around here.
On Sunday if good wind, I will be doing downwinders.

We have alot of boards to choose from. It's torture looking at all of them, sometimes (seriously :x :P )

Will it still be ridable in the morning. Or do you revomend a better spot for tomorrow am. I really want to focus on edging upwind so downwinfres are not my only option.

Okay,

Local ripper (Jonathan) just walked in and is willing to make his prediction:

He says (no lie) -- too many sharks, flesh eating diseases, micro bursts, red tides, death likely, too many oysters... YIKES.
(he wants it to himself)

We'll be there at sunrise til we have to work.

Funny stuff. I know you are respectful, thanks for that.
Nice to meet you out there this morning and then in the shop, Ken.

Typical wind/work situation
At least Daisy had fun chasing a ghost crab all over the place.

Nice to meet you as well.

Well my 12m has some line issues i need to work out, first time i flew it and the line length are messed up, back lines to short causing eratic flight. And my 17m was to big for the high winds so I played spectator on the beach.

I did get some very fun rides in on my land board and my 3m trainer.

I also meet the notorous Jimbo and watched him help one of his buddies who is learning. I took notes =-).

Overall it was another good day, I will be back october 28th and look forward to a good downwinder hopefully on a new board.

Jimbo was helping Mike to get even better. Mike is cool (as is Jimbo).
He use to play drums in a very famous band (ask him) and now is a big wig in business. Jimbo is really cool to help a kiter learn when he can't ride himself.

Did you happen to see Joey and Kevin wizz by you on a downwinder?
Oh, also, a local lost AND recovered a board. His name and phone number were on the board. Owner called within 1 hour of board loss! Sweet! Goes to show that having your info on a board helps.

Kite ground boarding (KGB) is harder than "water" boarding, imo. If you are doing it well, that's good news.

Why did it blow all day starting at 10 and stopping at 5 and now there is no wind! ? !
