We just wanted to let you all know that we are still looking forward to our Fort Myers to napes race ( down wind ) we know you are all still waiting but after all the effort and time we put into this project we want to be done properly.
Unfortunately the wind has not been working with us and as you know November was a wash out well as December because of holidays and no wind but we are now in January and are looking for the wind so that we can all have a great race and a great day.
Thank you all for you patience.

We are sorry that the wind is taking its time and we do not want to disrupt any body else’s plans.

We can't control the weather, at least not the way we want to at present. Thanks for all your hard efforts in organizing this event. When the wind comes we'll be here and your downwinder should be just the ticket to slack all that wind lust. Hang in there and thanks again!

Ok, we are getting closer. What's the deal with the Naples race? Looks like we could easily run the event backwards. Go to www.magicseaweed.com and click the wind. This is a very good site and gives a good indication of when the wind will switch. I must say that this will be a bit taxing to do 2 races back to back on the same tack! Who's in?

Yesterday we post and sent e-mails to everyone to watch the wind for Saturday 19th January
Today as of 1-17-08 at 10:30 AM the wind is still a little confusing (s-sw) but for now at least they are showing the right direction
If the wind is SOUTH or SW all day 13 + THE RACE IS STILL ON BUT FROM NAPLES TO FORT MYERS (INSTEAD OF FT MYERS TO NAPLES)

If the weather stays the same from now until the weekend we will have the race Saturday (MORNING OR NOON), we will post again 24 hour notice

TONIGHT WE WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT THE RACE, WHERE, WHEN, WHAT TIME EVERYTHING SO PLEASE KEEP CHECKING THIS POST

Saturday 19 race day from 7am to 8:30 am, registration

8:30am to 9:00am on Saturday19 get ready

9:00am, red flag several blasts go to the water (tackle back and forth) or stay on the beach, your choice, 5minutes to 10 minutes
Yellow flag 2 blasts (horn) get ready to go 2 to 3 minutes
Green flag 1 long blast go go go go go
Imaginary line to start, 17th ave south, early starters will be disqualified (camera on the pier)

Registration 7:00am to 8:30am
All riders need to pick up their shirt all riders have a number on the shirt no shirt no race.

The after party and prize giving will still be at wahoo’s naples free food for all riders
