"MIAMIKITEBOARDING MASTERS 2012 -
APRIL 7th & 8th at Crandon

The biggest kitesurfing competition in Miami is coming back for its 9th Edition in Crandon Park, this April 7th & 8th 2012 during Eastern Weekend.


After a No-Wind edition in 2011, we are eager to put up the show for a full weekend of Races, Freestyle contest , Sup and other fun moments on the beach.

Contestants who PAID to enter the competition in 2011 will have their Entry fees credited toward the 2012 Contest, since nothing could be run last year !

Don't miss the big opening party at Villa 221 , same great place we run our November Kite Bash, in Downtown Miami, Happy Hour, Dj Live, Video of prior editions, food and full liquor bar !

It's Easter weekend , so beaches will be crowded. We have safety patrol on Land and on jetskis, just in case of.
No accidents ever happened in 9 years, and we thank you all for doing so good out there,

Not for the first time either as I recall. We have so few kite events running anymore what choice do we have?

The forecast is looking good starting tonight for the event on the order of 15 to 20 kts. NE to E.

"Tonight...West northwest winds 14 to 17 knots becoming north northeast 14 to 19 knots. Along the coast...seas 2 feet building to 2 to 4 feet. In the gulf stream...seas 3 to 5 feet. Dominant period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers.

Saturday...Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet building to 6 to 8 feet in the afternoon. Dominant period 7 seconds. North swell 3 feet in the afternoon. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Slight chance of showers.

Saturday Night...Northeast winds 17 to 22 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet along the coast and up to 7 to 9 feet in the gulf stream. North swell 3 to 4 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas.

Sunday And Sunday Night...East winds 15 to 18 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. "

Registration starts at 10am - Rider's meeting at 11am

SUNDAY 8th : Freestyle contest Men , Women & Junior
Heats starts at 10am

Reminder : Free entry for all contestants who had registered in the 2011 no-wind edition !

Register TODAY , as the number of contestants is limited to 32 for Freestyle and 50 for the Races, you may not enter if you wait for the day of the event.

IMPORTANT : As the beach will be busy on this Easter Weekend, we request each kiteboarder to be very respectful of the boundaries and Stay CLEAR OF SHORELINE and SWIM ZONES at all times. The park authorities may ask non-compliant kiters to leave the beach !

Jetski patrol and beach marshals will be actively controlling the boundaries and safety directives

We ask no-contesants kiteboarders to keep clear from on-going Contests and races
