Maui To Molokai To Oahu 100 Mile Crossing
Just came across a clip of some riders that tooled from Maui to Molokai to Oahu in July. Interesting images at:

Wow, Rick it was good to see Curt Scott in that Maui Molokai clip, he is an old buddy, a South Florida local, haven't talked to him in years. He got bit hard by the Kiting bug way back in the early days.

Hey JP,
I am not sure if I ran into Scott down here before. Thought about doing the Molokai crossing in 2006 when I was over there for a honeymoon. First priorities (and a lack of wind, ha!) kept me out of it. Looks like they're having fun out there.

Sure is and as I recall wind conditions can vary quite a bit. Had to have been a challenging run even with steady trades throughout. The run to Molokai looks like near a downwind shot, ouch. I guess the trades would bend around a bit near the islands though. That is some work if it played out that way. Wonder if the winds varied enough to allow using different muscle groups. A 100 miles on the same tack would be a bear.
