Default skywalker boards?? anyone .. anyone.. bueller.. bueller....

anyone local had a chance to ride them?

i'm seriously considering a Dimitri Pro series 130 and/or his new lightwind 135..

huge toss up between these, best float 133 or aggression super phatty....

some info on Skywalker:
http://emeraldcoastkiteboarding.com/...hp?cPath=21_55

trend lately seems to be flatter bottom, less rocker in tips, much wider board..

for our flatwater conditions here.. these all are going to be great..

might go for Skywalker only cuz no one else around here has one..

I don't think anyone has ridden the Skywalker "super wide" cuz it just got released. I rode last season's SW'ers. They are all fast to plane and felt good. Most of the flex was in the tips.
May as well rule out a (new anyway) SP, cuz I just talked with G.S. to get one. He said March :?

I rode the Float recently too. Best also now has the Chubby to throw in the mix. I tried to link to it, but the Best site is brand new has some major bugs in it still, apparently.

ya.. the chubby is 140 x 48

they have it listed for 399 for board only.. great price!

its basically their larger float, just wider than last years production.

I know that Tom swears by his Float 133 and thats enough for me to give that serious consideration and, Scott, your opinion means a lot as i know you ride a number of boards and are probably one of the few locals that can really differenciate the different styles of boards.

Another KILLER option, jump on this one if you want it though!!! The auction ends in a couple of hours and it is a sweet board!!!

AND:

Same board as I have, KILLER light wind board!!!

Looks like you are looking for a smaller board though Bryan...the fridge door might just be perfect though...

So many to choose from. It comes down to what you like.
Damn, Bryan, now I gotta beg to get a Skywalker down here for us to demo. (do I sound frustrated? :P )

Thanks Toby, I wrote that guy.

Inferno, I like my float, but there are definitely some great boards out there. The float planes well and is light and durable... but it's not a show board.. ie, it's not a nice glossy expensive looking pro board, but the characteristics and size are just about perfect for me, so I like it.

I let you ride this board didn't I? I remember trying to get it back from you wasn't easy. Seriously though how did it feel to you? Thats really all that matters. If you want to try it out again I will probably be taking Monday off to ride so if you are there you can ride it. I think I got mine for around $400 complete. I know Scott sold one awhile back for under $400 complete and I think that guy really liked his too.

ive only ridden it once at LP (night sesh) we traded boards, yours definately required less kite power and ripped upwind, but didnt handle the chop as well as my LF mission, both great boards for different purposes
but i must say i love my prototype barn door i picked up, its 130x45, with concave and rocker, awsome all around board (super light), wouldnt mine trying it back to back with the float....
