Default Checking instructor ratings online

Be sure to choose a school or kite center that is reputable. Or insist on formal certification cards that show your training and level.

Fining a good Instructor can be tough ... The IKO is trying to help by offering students the ability to check IKO instructor ratings online.

Many schools although not IKO affiliated hire and use IKO instructors to teach at their school ...

Be sure to check out your instructor before you take lessons. To ensure quality teaching with internationally recognized standards insist on a training certification card showing your level and training to you have received to date.

Instructor ratings can be seen online at www.ikointl.com - on left side click Instructor ratings.

Thanks

Here's wishing you folks a safe and fun Kiteboarding experience.

Default What do the instructor ratings mean?

Is '1' the best or worst?

Just had a look at the site. I think "Level" refers to class of instructor not with compliance or complaints. I believe the column that addresses consumer feedback or non-compliance is the last column titled "Compliance Status." Looking at the USA, apparently none of the instructors have recorded either non-compliance or any registered complaints whatsoever. I also checked several other countries where I recall IKO is particularly active. All instructors were listed as IKO Compliant in all instances yet again.

Not all students are satisfied (fairly or not) in all cases nor are instructors usually compliant with exacting criteria in all cases in my experience. This observation may question the accuracy and usefulness of this rating system. Or am I wrong in this, input?
