Default key west and lower keys kite night

Great to see the keys forum is up, in a few weeks we are holding a kite night in key west, all are welcome, the reason for this is to allow all the new and old kiters to meet and at the same time try and come up with some solutions to improve and protect our launches. If anyone is interested ,has suggestions or just wants to socialise give me a call at 305 407 6748 ,at this time we have around 30 kiters ,as soon as a date and venue has been chosen we will let everyone know.Remember all are welcome.

Regards Greg

Default kite night dates

We have narrowed the date down to either friday the 22nd or saturday the 23rd of Febuary for our kite night .We are holding it at the bottlecap bar in Key West(www.bottlecaplounge.com) All re welcome,I am waiting on answers from some of the guys on sposoring giveways like shirts hats etc. and will let you know how that goes.If any other kite / surf related companies are going to be in the area you are more than welcome to come and pimp your products and it will be a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other.

One of the subjects we are going to adress is how to control dangerous ignorant and stupid behaviour at Smathers beach so that we can mantain access there, and if we need to approach the city re the putting up of signs,so if you have an opinion please let us know what you think.

Some other of our goals are to get a ticki hut erected, some barbeque stands installed , and the most ambitious request is, to have two of the marker poles in the riding area removed or replaced with smaller floating buoys.

If any one wants more info you can call or pm me ,my No. is 305 407 6748 , any other ideas are welcome

Thanks Greg

Default key west kite-nite

Key West kite nite is on this Saturday starting at 7 pm,THE KITEHOUSE has sponsored some dvd,s and calenders and we will also have a few shirts to throw out to the kiters. Noel ,Tom and some of the guys from THE OTHERSIDE BOARDSPORTS and the Florida kiteriders association are planning on coming down for the "meeting" and if the winds are good will be holding a demo day on Sat.Kevin from ABOVE and BELOW IN Marathon will also try and make it as well as Dave from Eclipse who happens to turn 40 this week, is going to try and get down.Everyone is welcome and if anyone wants to donate a few give aways like t shirts etc. they will be greatly appreciated. The main reason for the night will be to meet the newbies and talk about preserving our access to ride at the Keys beaches.
