Scaling in Photoshop this looks to be around a 60 to 65 ft. jump or roughly 20 m. Seems higher?

Stance Kiteboarding posted this on FB with the following caption:

"Le véritable sens de "s'envoyer en l'air"" (The true meaning to "send in the air") "... Rider : John Glais (Cabrinha, Kitaddict), Spot : St Malo. — with John Johnn."

St. Malo is in Brittany in Northern France.

A collage of cover shots from my Facebook page for about the last year.
It is good to look back, before shooting forward. Here's to good times
and imaging all around.

"Maui 1985 Hookipa, ENJOY!"

Checkout those sails, a different age.

From Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...=o.52760743971

Here is a Mistral promotion from about the same year.

"Mistral promotion video made around 1984 to 1985. It was made when Mistral boards were at their height. They had one the best world cup wins with the help of Robby Naish and Peter Cabrinha, Natalie Le lievre and Nevin Sayer.
Other Sailors include Jill Boyer, Karl Messmer.

The boards of the time were the Mistral Bemuda and Superlight (IMCO regatta boards), Maui (Mk II), Tarifa, Taloa (High litre short board - not shown), Malibu, Diamond Head (Slalom Board Mk II) and Hookipa (Wave Board). The most radical were the Diamond Head and the Hookipa.
The Sails shown were still basic for there day but gloriously colorful.

Filmed in Kailua Hawaii by Yuri Farrant - Thanks!

Music is "The Heat is On", a song written by Harold Faltermeyer for the Film "Beverly Hills Cop"

A great looking, colourful and Fun video capturing the new Funboard generation."

Damien LeRoy has just put up a new video. It provides some insights on his perspective on life. Have to say in the ten years
that I have known him, he has to be one of the most capable, self-assured but humble persons I have encountered.
How does he do it? Checkout the clip ...

Damien last month with some up and coming kiters from Jupiter.

At the 2012 Kiteboard Masters

At the 2010 Kiteboard Masters

Barefooting at the 2009 Kiteboard Masters

At the 2008 Kiteboard Masters

Damo at the 2007 Jupiter Invasion

There are tons from the intervening years, I just ran out of time. Search through this site for dozens more images of Damo in action.

Damien in 2003 at the Invasion when I was first introduced to this very capable athlete and great all around guy.

"Ripping through the maze of channels on the Great South Bay"
From: https://www.facebook.com/kiteboardingisfun

Looks like a fun riding area and with the nice stronger winds the NE can offer. I understand this area isn't that easy or close to get to. Also, the green head flies can get out of control at times.

Acupuncture on the fly, ouch!

"They arrived! Yesterday's downwinder, which started at Adventure Sports Matheson, first stopping at Boca Chita and ended at
Whale Harbour- the course was a little over 60 miles, started with 20 riders and 14 made it all the way to the finish line. The race
gathered all top athletes and we raised $50k to build a self-sustaining home in Tanzania, Africa for orphaned children.
Thanks to Mark Russell and all who made it possible"
