Question Heading out for a Session?

I will be visiting Jacksonville May 14-18 and would like to get a few sessions in. Is there a form page that locals check out or post before heading out to check in on conditions, and kite with a few others around? I'd just rather kite when there is someone there who can help launch and land, tell tips. - Am I looking in the rights spot?

Hello Drew,

I don't know of a website that provides info on when guys will be riding in given areas around Jacksonville. There is a good chance that you will find some kiters around Huguenot Memorial Park just north of the inlet if there is wind on. Currently, you can ride in winds from most directions at the Park between the lagoon and ocean.

If you are up for a drive down the coast a bit to the south you may find a number of guys just north of Matanzas Inlet south of St. Augustine if the wind is on.

For marine & hazard weather forecast info I would checkout:

For color radar and satellite to see if there are squalls inbound that show up, checkout:

For realtime winds and for looking upweather for incoming trends:

Default yep

from what ive seen the majority of all kiteboarders will be around the point at hugonut. Other than that its just a matter of riding w/ someone local. Heck I live at the beaches, PM me if the winds look favorable I may be able to help ya out.,
