Default Key west kite night

Saturday night November 14th, we (Key West Kiteboarding) are holding our second kite-nite . This is an open invitation, all the kite or paddle related business in the keys are welcome to get involved. The idea is to let anyone who lives in the Keys (or Miami areas etc.) and wants to learn to kite or paddleboard meet and get information regarding lessons, gear etc from the local dealers and shops. We will be having a raffle and so far we have a Best Ouija kiteboard , Hyperflex jacket, a skateboard and other prizes ( still to be confirmed ) that can be won. All profits from the raffle will be donated towards one of the seagrass restoration foundations.

This is a fun get together for riders and potential riders to meet and get to know each other, the World Offshore Powerboat races will also be taking place that Sunday, so if there is no wind, anyone that comes down can at least get to watch the Superboats racing in Key Wests' harbour

I would like to thank the sponsors that have helped by donating prizes so far, they are

THE KITEHOUSE
THE SURF SHOP
OLDSCHOOL KEY WEST
SHADES OF KEY WEST
KEY WEST KITEBOARDING

There are still other companies that I am waiting to hear from and need to contact, but so far this looks like it is going to be a great party. We will be holding it at THE BOTTLECAP BAR and will post more info regarding the venue at a later date, so to everyone out there that has no plans for that weekend , come on down and have some fun with us.

More info to come.

Default petition

Thanks, we will also have a petition for people to sign to stop Smathers beach being turned into a nude beach, which would affect our riding area. I would also like to thank George from Kiteflix ( http://www.kiteflix.com/ ) who rushed us extra dvds after our order was lost in the mail, thanks, they arrived safely.

Hey Greg,

Is your petition online? If not, it is pretty easily done. It is an international destination, why not get broad input. Also, I understand from Frank you have photos from the event. Would you like help embedding them in a post?
