Thumbs up

I agree, Florida (southwest) is the best kitesurfing destination in US. Sanibel Island and Marco Island are magnificent places for kitesurfing.

This post seems helpful for new visitors, however it should be updated as Bunche Beach is closed to kiteboarding. Wouldn't want to steer a visitor out there only to get fined or create an unhealthy situation for the local kiting community.

This was written five years ago for a magazine article in SBC Kiteboard Magazine and uploaded on here as well. It was never intended to sit around unmodified ignoring changes as they developed. That burden falls on the users to fill in. Thanks for doing just that! I am having trouble seeing what the north and south boundaries of Bunche Beach are. What parts of Ft. Myers Beach are still open to kiting, some I hope?

You are welcome. I personally don't know about restrictions Alleng unfortunately which isn't to say there might not be some. You might ask Latino at: http://www.swfloridakiteboarding.com/ he may know.
