Wonder about predicted tidal currents at 17th St. Bridge?

Be sure to watch out for the oysters on the pilings and seawalls.
They can do a nice deep slice and dice, payback for all that chowder I guess.

The course

The start just off the Intracoastal and finish on Tiki Beach on the ocean.

The turn in scenic Port Everglades

... and the Wrap Party at the Treasure Trove also celebrates Neil's Birthday!
Be sure to show up, race or cheer the folks on and give Neil the best on his day.

Could be kind of rough by Sunday if 15 to 20 kts. start up on Friday through Sunday out of the NE to E. For that reason, here's an update from Jessie with Liquid Surf and Sail:

"Hey Guys,

Just to update everybody on the SUP Race this Sunday:

· Race start time has been confirmed to take place at 5:30pm Sunset cruise. (Due to the overwhelming requests by our local Lifeguards and Firemen)

· Course change: Due to the windy and rough ocean conditions we will no longer be exiting port everglades for the open ocean run. There are 2 possible courses we would be able to do:

The routes:

Original route: 5-mile (seems unlikely due to forecast strong winds and high seas)

Optional route # 1: 2.7-mile point A to point B all flat water Intracoastal

Optional Route # 2: 3-mile loop then back to starting location.

They are very similar in the amount of distance we will cover. The starting location has not changed.

If you have any questions please call me at 954-523-7778 / 954-822-5373

Please send me any feedback!

There's going to be some boat traffic along most of the roundtrip and part of the one way Intracoastal routes. Outside wake restricted areas, there will be some boat wakes too to make things more interesting.
