Funny you should mention chicken, that showed up in the photo caption:
"Guess who wants to come to dinner? A 6-foot-long alligator climbs within inches of the doorbell after knocking on the front door of Roslyn and Robert Loretta's home on Penny Creek Drive in Sun City Hilton Head, S.C., on June 2. The reptile apparently was enticed into the couple's yard by the smell of teriyaki chicken. The gator fled back into the swampland." From: http://www.sun-sentinel.com Ha, gators sure are dumb. He should use the doorbell instead of knocking?!

Just make sure your gator tail is fairly fresh. "Gator breath" can set in with well frozen tail and short of using Comet with bleach it may only go away in time. Wonder if they feel the same way about us?
