There is a tie in to Ruben Lenten's close jump in Tarifa recently. More at: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=10741

Some recent photos of the house in question from a couple of weeks ago.

From the water ...

From the air.

Jumping over this house reminds me of smurfs in kilts leaping over an irate hedgehog. In other words, poor return on risk! If you hit, you
will certainly know it and in a painful way and this is if you are lucky.

A Dimitri's eye view of the notable structure in Stiltsville. More accurately, the view he wished he had on that painful last jump! Those are some nasty timber pilings to slam into.

Default No bail out

There was no bail out area if the wind ebbed. He was between two docks and essentially committed to either jumping or running into the dock. Bad position to be in. Thankfully he survived.

When jumping or performing tricks, one should always leave extra room for error.

Too many times I have seen kiters performing tricks/jumping upwind close to beaches with bystanders. It is just a matter of time before another kitemare along with the bad publicity with potential for a ban.
