Salut a tous !

Due to a busy schedule of kite contests and other non-kiteboarding events in Key Biscayne in April and March , we had no choice but running the event in May.

This year again , we have had great feedback and such high demand for the event to happen. It’s surely became one of the most prefered kitesurfing gathering for all south florida crew since 2004.

So here it is, yet another full weekend of competition in our beautiful and ideal flat water location in Crandon Park.

And looking at the forecast for next , it LOOKS REAL GOOD FROM THURSDAY ON as a system is moving across !

This 2009 edition will be run in a completely new format more like a Kitesurfing open festival:

You may choose to enter either ONE contest or sign up for BOTH.

This event is open to all level 3 kitesurfers. So if you want to try yourself out in a easy and cool race, , no worries just do it: The course will be set for everybody to finish easy and fast !
Look at the Photos from last year and this last february: you are racing in paradise !

Competitors entry fees for the entire weekend :

- $30 for one contest / $50 for both, when registering online before the event.
- $40 on the weekend of the event !

Be aware We have a limited amount of competitors entry for Freestyle and Races.

No Wind Policy : Event stays on - Competitors will be refunded the Entry Fees minus $10 for administration process.

Riders important safety updates for the event:

- we will have to control the flow of kiters for safety reasons. Priority to the contestant riders!
- Swimming zones will be strictly enforced by a Lifeguard on duty on jet ski

- Non-Contestants riders MUST SIGN -IN LIKE ANY REGULAR DAY at MKB Booth. Advanced riders only that day.

The 2009 Miami Kiteboarding Masters is coming up this weekend, May 16 & 17, at Crandon Park!
The latest wind forecast is 15 to 20 kts from ENE. With wind like that, we will have an amazing event.

· Course races will on Saturday morning and the freestyle contest in the afternoon during high tide.
· IMPORTANT NOTICE: For those who have not yet registered, competitior registration will be from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. The riders meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. SHARP!
· On Sunday morning we will run more course races followed by paddleboard demos and fun-races, and strapless exhibition.

Sponsor giveaways will be raffled to both riders and the general public. The variety of items include:

· Harnesses
· Kiteboarding lessons
· Downwinders

· Rashguards
· And much more!

Important Note for Non-competitor kitesurfers :

Regular rules apply: You MUST sign in at the MKB Booth and display your stearmer on your kite lines.
Daily pass for non-members is $20 .
During On-going races and freestyle competition, riding will be temporarily stopped.

Expect many spectators and swimmers in Crandon Park this weekend. YOU MUST NOT RIDE OR DRIFT INTO THE SWIM ZONE AT ANY TIME. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN EXPULSION BY LIFEGUARDS ON JET SKIS.
