And an (experienced) rider who took an ambulance ride from East Beach just last year after slipping and being dragged at high speed into a parked car. Nasty head wound and torn/dislocated shoulder.

That sucked. Haven't seen him riding since. Hope he's recovered ok.

FWIW: Big beach is where beginners should be riding. No swimmers and a LOT of beach to get dragged across. Plus, it's the spot the rangers prefer.

Chili is riding still. It took him a while to recover but he is back at it and has since got his whole family into the sport. Props to Chili and his friends for getting him back on the water.

Great news. I know his shoulder was already messed up from something else and the slam just made it worse.
