A great look at the Sweetspots operation on Guanaja, Honduras with a variety of cameras including a drone. You can also see some nice 2015 Cabrinha kite gear in action.

Travelling the world to kiteboard you visit many beautiful destinations. A small island situated in the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras just might be kiteboarding paradise.

Join James Boulding on a journey of discovery to a new kiteboarding destination that until now has only been dreamt exists.

Great shots! By odd coincidence I was next door at Grand Turk on Dec. 7 but the trades had just turned off. Did some diving instead, the Turks & Caicos are a marvelous destination!

Kiting a Black Storm off …ire

https://vimeo.com/114497038

"Celtic Prayers
from STUDIOWORK IRELAND Plus 3 days ago All Audiences

Ryan Coote kitesurfing Conra Carraig in what has been known as the Black Storm. You have seen the Trailer now here is the Feature. IT'S not pretty, IT'S not perfect, IT'S DEFINITELY not safe.

Ryan's Words.
" Conra Carraig is A very dangerous wave in the best of conditions. You have to kite it when the tide is completely low or it is a death wave. It was a good size and held some shape on most wave. There was nothing perfect about it. Trying to ride in maxed out storm conditions is all about using every single one of your senses. IT'S about calming your mind no matter what.

It was a little different from other days that i have kited it, as the mood of the ocean was very angry and aggressive. The wind was 30-40 knots and The angle was not great on the wave. I was on my 6m Reo which handled the mental wind, but I could have - and should have -been on my 4m. I took the risk, rigging the 6 to ride powered up which made for some of the intense drops.

WHY? people ask me!

Until you feel the power in the waves and the strength in the wind you will never know why we ride in storm conditions. IT'S like your body is being blasted with energy from every direction. Your body is on max alert all the time. Adrenaline is rushing through your veins from the first second you touch the water until you step off the board at the end. Its our hit from mother nature: THE drug that extreme sports people are hooked on. ''

A blast from 144 years in the past, "Along the Florida Reef." It was a monthly series of articles written by Dr. J. B. Holder for the Harper's New Monthly Magazine between March and July of 1871. It described his ramblings and discoveries in South Florida and the Keys with finely detailed illustrations such as shown below. The reefs must have been truly astonishing for their vitality, rich unblemished color and texture, sadly unlike today in varying degrees. Still, aside from KW and some isolated areas, they were much like that as recently as the 1980's. Dr. Holder was into a lot of interesting things, from what amounted to artificial reef construction and study on behalf of Louis Agassiz, to being a doctor in the miltary prision of the Dry Tortugas. He may have there at the same time as Dr. Saumuel Mudd, likely both battling the yellow fever outbreak there with little in the way of medicine or funds. Dr. Holder was also a key figure at the American Museum of Natural History.

A great video about Andre and Sergio Bacic and their origins on the Adriatic. These guys are some of the nicest, most helpful watermen you will meet. Here is part of their story, enjoy!

Very nice filming and editing work! It has been a coon's age since I've been in Cabarete, it is good to have a nice detailed look at the place. Thanks for sharing.
