Bay News 9 Commercial Shoot Today

[Kiteboarding Tampa Bay]

Bay News 9 will be at the Skyway North today (11-12-10)to begin shooting a commercial featuring kiteboarding- “Why kiters Love Bay News 9’s Klystron Weather”. If you watch Ch. 9 regularly, you may have seen similar commercials featuring bikers, construction workers, and a lady who rides her moped to work. The BN9 folks put a lot of effort and creativity into these commercials and this is a great chance to showcase the Tampa Bay kiting community. Our goal for today is to shoot as much riding as possible, and if the wind is not up for kiting, we’ll work on the interviews.

Hmmmm... just got done with school. Looks like it is blowing decent and will probably pick up as sun sets. The lighting is going to be epic from 5 til sunset out there.

I forgot to post an update here that we put it off again. (Its only been 2 1/2 months that we have been trying to connect, so no biggie- they really want to do this.
I'll post here next time we're going to try to get together.

I had my corny sayings down for the interview, too.
Klystron's technology "broadens my horizons" to see weather patterns which are currently not within sight. This affords me the opportunity to see dangerous weather before it presents itself and act accordingly .... blah blah.....

Was Jen Holloway gonna be there? That's really the only reason I was gonna show.

We're going to meet around 10:00 AM tomorrow at East Beach. (11-19)
(there's a slim possibility of getting a camera crew out at the Backside this afternoon also.)

Postponed once again. At least they're getting a good insight on what it's like to be a kiter around here....

It did kick in for a few hours at the SW yesterday from around 1:00-3:30.
