Nah, I kid you not, my friend. WEST winds are side shore winds, parallel to the shore.
Ur not going out today?

I went out there, nice as hell, rode some, then became extremely gusty.
However, it was a fair day with WEST winds

I did but in Tampa honking 25kts side-on with waves.

When I used to ride Matheson back in '98 the most W I ever did was SW and that seemed sideshore, oh-well, hope you guys got some. I prefer the choppier water on the open bay next to the west side of key biscayne and the flats

West winds in the Matheson Hammocks launch is side shore.
Although I prefer East winds all the way.

Dude, the only types of kites that existed back then where 2-Line kites, foil or otherwise ( only 2 brands, wipika or f-one, naish hadn't started to build kites ). no wonder I just went from one end of biscayne bay to the other

Yea, true. I read an article in Kiteboarding Magazine that in kitebeach, Hawaii they had these small kites with 30 meter lines. Pretty extreme, if you ask me.

What about sailing in Miami on Thursday? Suggestions or do I try a boat?
Tried to find Ty L. but his tel. didn't work. Typical. Kitehouse has a boat opportunity but really like a beach launch if possible. Did Crandon years ago. Looking for Ideas? Up in Jensen Beach but buddy visiting is in Miami. Help.

Thursday will consist of south winds ranging from 15-19knts. In that direction, I would go to Crandon, Possibly Stiltsville. Really neat place, should check it out.
